Buz Sawyer 032463 |
It's Sunday, so here's your Buz Sawyer in living, breathing color. This one is interesting because not only does Buz not appear, Roscoe is nowhere to be seen either! Uncle Lucky is Roscoe's uncle, so there is a connection. I guess Buz Sawyer featuring his pal Roscoe Sweeney's crazy Uncle Lucky would be a little too long for the title.
Not sure if this family is headed by Roscoe's brother or cousin or what. I'll admit I'm not the expert I pretend to be. Anyone with info on the Sweeney family tree, please feel free to comment!
And P.S. to my sister: Erinn, this strip is for you. rawr!
From March 24, 1963.

hmmm and rawr indeed!
I have been searching for info regarding one of my favorite Sunday strips, Roscoe Sweeney. Can't remember the exact name of the strip. I think it was Buz Sawyer, Featuring his friend, Roscoe Sweeney. He and his sister (can't remember her name) owned an orchard in Florida. I remember 'Uncle Lucky' being mentioned. At least 1 time, Buz came out for a visit. This was one of my most favorite stips on Sunday. Of course Buz Sawyer and Captain Easy were my favorite during the week.
